House League - 2003

Minor Lacrosse Weekend

The results of the 2003 end of season championship tournament are available here.

The 2003 House League season begins on April 21st. Please check the appropriate age group on the left for the grading and season schedules. All players must attend both grading sessions based on their last name. Teams will be drafted by the coaches on April 25. All players will be called by their coach during the weekend of April 26 & 27 to tell them what team they are on. Practices/games begin on Monday, April 28.

All divisions except Peanut will practice for the first 30 minutes followed by a 30 minute game in May. In June, practices will be conducted for the first 20 minutes followed by a 40 minute game. For the Peanut division, there will be three 20 minute half floor games with the off team practicing at the other end of the arena.

Picture Day

Picture Day is scheduled for May 10th at Mainway Auditorium.

House League Director's Message

Happy New Years to all BMLA members and their families. In this my first year as House League Director, I look forward to meeting and speaking to many of you at the arenas and other Lacrosse functions.

The new executive is gearing up for this month's registration, after which we will be taking a detailed look at this year's season. We are considering such changes as NLL colours and logos on the jerseys plus optional Saturday morning clinics. With the success of the 3-pass rule in Paperweight (the select team shined in tournament play) we will be looking at all our age categories for possible ways to improve the skill level of all players.

We are looking for coaches, assistant coaches, trainers and convenors for the new season. Applications will be available at registration or you can e-mail me with any questions, comments or concerns.

Have a Safe and Happy 2003

Bob McIsaac
