2003 Minor Lacrosse Weekend

Schedule

Format

  • All teams play 3 round robin games
  • In divisions with 4 teams (Paperweight, Tyke and Bantam) the top 2 teams advance to the Championship Game
  • In divisions with more than 4 teams (Peewee and Novice) the top 4 teams go to Semi finals with the winners of the semis meeting in the finals
  • 2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point will be awarded for a tie
  • Ties after the round robin will be broken in the following order:
    1. Winner in head to head game
    2. The Team with the most wins
    3. The Team with the best goal average calculated as: Goals For divided by Goals Against plus Goals For
    4. The team that scored the first goal in head to head game
    5. Flip of a coin
  • Tie in a Semi or Championship game will result in a 5-minute sudden death overtime, followed by a 5 shot per team shoot out, followed by single shot shoot out
  • Peanuts will play two 15 minute games each on Sunday

Trophies

  • All players from all teams will receive trophies on Sunday in the Central Auditorium after their division’s Championship game
  • Players will receive hot dogs and pop as well as their team pictures after the trophy presentation
  • Sid’s Trophies will be at Central to engrave names on the trophies for a small fee
  • Jimbo the clown will be at the Central Auditorium from 12 to 12:30 on Sunday to entertain the Peanut and Paperweight kids
